Portland Area Bargaining Update Management’s plan jeopardizes health
benefits & threatens your pay.
Your Union Bargaining Committee met with the Employers over the past three days for bargaining and to
address the pension and health care trusts. Your Employers made motions for you to pay out of pocket
costs for health insurance and to dramatically reduce your health benefits. The Union blocked both
motions, preserving your benefits and protecting your paycheck.
Additional financial analysis was requested by your Union and the Employers. Both parties are awaiting
the results. More dates will be scheduled soon.
