Portland Area Bargaining Update

Your Union Bargaining Committee met with the Employers over the past three days for bargaining and to address the pension and health care trusts. Your Employers made motions for you to pay out of pocket costs for health insurance and to dramatically reduce your health benefits. The Union blocked both motions, preserving your benefits and protecting your paycheck.

Additional financial analysis was requested by your Union and the Employers. Both parties are awaiting the results. More dates will be scheduled soon.

Bend Area Bargaining Update

Our Bend bargaining team joined together with the Portland bargaining team for a two day session with our employers. Based on the movement previously made by the Portland team we were able to expedite the bargaining process. We are now able to move to economics. We look forward to further work with our Portland Union brothers and sisters to obtain the best economic package possible.
